Naomi Bowman

She trained in ballet, tap and modern dance from the age of three, and attended various acting clubs and summer schools as a child, travelling to Germany at age 14 with the UK company for the Fifth World Childrens' Theatre Festival.

After graduating with a 2:1 in mathematics from Oxford University, she moved to Thailand to volunteer after the 2004 tsunami. Friends know her as the busiest human alive. Whilst living out there she opened a rock climbing school and other businesses, and found time to be an extra in a Bollywood movie.

She discovered improvisation whilst living and working in Denmark. She's an original member of Gamez, Hoopla's House Short Form Team, with regular shows in London and a performance at Copenhagen Improv Festival in 2019 and a masterclass group in Berlin, coached by Inbal Lori.

In 2017, Naomi returned to London to train at schools including RADA, CSSD, Home Studio, The Actors Centre and The Actors Crib, with trips to Denmark to train with Den Danske Scenekunstskole. Always seeking to improve and learn, she has trained in Clown with Philippe Gaulier, in Improvisation with Keith Johnstone and Patti Stiles and will find a way to travel to any country that has a course that looks good!

In 2019 she part devised and played the lead in 'La Manada', an emotionally complex true story of gang rape, which reinforced her desire to tell stories that matter. She has a deep love of Shakespeare, performing as a female Laertes in Hamlet in 2019 and most recently Rosalind in a short film adaption of As You Like it In Lockdown. Utterly dedicated to acting and a love of storytelling, she also performs at spoken word nights and three of her original poems have been staged. During lockdown she has been involved in five online plays, an online monologue and two audio dramas and only plans to find more and more to do and learn. "
